Equipment rarely fails without warning. People just miss the warning
Heating, cooling and ventilation for houses and working buildings along the northern Front Range — measured on every visit, so the second visit knows what the first one found.
What a service visit actually covers
- Combustion or refrigerant behaviour measured, not estimated from a sound.
- Airflow at the equipment, because most faults that look electrical are not.
- Safeties and controls tested rather than assumed to be working.
- A written record of what changed since last time and what we expect next.
Three kinds of work
- Service and repair
Diagnosed with instruments and priced in writing. We tell you what caused it, not only what we replaced, because the cause is what decides whether it happens again.
- Planned maintenance
Annual for houses, once or twice a year for buildings depending on the equipment. Written up against each unit so the record builds rather than resets.
- Replacement
Sized from the building rather than from the old nameplate, with the duct work or the pipework included in the quote instead of discovered later.
On for three minutes, off for four, all day
Short cycling is the most common thing people describe to us and the least often taken seriously. It shortens the life of a compressor or a heat exchanger faster than almost anything else, and it is nearly always a symptom of something else.
Tell the check what is cycling and what you have already ruled out, and it lists the likely causes in order — which ones you can settle yourself, and which ones need instruments.
Both sides, properly
-
Residential
Houses across Longmont, Niwot, Erie and Frederick — furnaces, air conditioning, heat pumps, ducts and ventilation.
- No-heat and no-cool calls, diagnosed properly the first time
- Annual service with a written record, not a sticker
- Duct sealing and airflow measurement room by room
- Replacements sized from the house
- Humidifier and ventilation work for a dry climate
-
Commercial
Working buildings — light industrial, offices, clinics, trade counters and the small premises between them.
- Planned maintenance with a record per unit
- Packaged rooftop units, splits and unit heaters
- Ventilation, make-up air and building pressure
- Controls and schedules matched to opening hours
- Replacement planning across a whole site
Before you call
What is short cycling and does it matter?
It means the equipment runs briefly, stops, and starts again — over and over. It matters because every start is the hardest moment in a compressor's life, and because it is always a symptom of something else. The check narrows the causes before anybody visits.
Is it normal for the house to be very dry in winter?
At this elevation, yes. A humidifier does raise indoor humidity, but it will not fix a draughty house and pushed too far it puts water on your windows and inside your walls. We will tell you where the sensible ceiling is for your house.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Yes, and it is a real part of the business rather than an add-on. Planned maintenance with a record per unit, rooftop and split systems, unit heaters, ventilation and replacement planning.
Will you quote a replacement on the first visit?
Not as a reflex. If a system has years left we will say so in writing and tell you what to budget. When replacement is the right answer we size it from the building, not from the old nameplate.
Do you carry parts?
Common ones — capacitors, contactors, igniters, flame sensors, filters and pressure switches. Anything else is ordered and we tell you the timescale rather than leaving it open.
Which areas do you cover?
